As of May 16, 2016, the Fort McMurray Reception Centre in Edmonton had checked in and examined 1,107 animals and reunited many with their owners. Thank you to all the RVTs who helped while the centre was open.
The ABVTA executive recommend a donation amounting to $2 per active member of the Association to be made in support of the Alberta SPCA Fort McMurray Animal Assistance Fund.
