Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented veterinary technology student to join our team for the summer. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on administrative and member service experience, while also deepening your understanding of the veterinary profession.

To apply for this job, you must:

  • Be aged between 15 and 30 years old on the start date of the job;
  • Have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN); and
  • Be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada, or a person who has been granted refugee status in Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support: Assist with organizing and maintaining member records, filing, and other administrative tasks related to the veterinary profession.
  • Member Services Support: Help plan and execute events for veterinary professionals, respond to member inquiries, and provide support for membership services.
  • Data Review: Conduct data entry, validation, and analysis to support projects aimed at enhancing the veterinary profession.
  • Content Creation: Develop and update content for communications such as newsletters, social media, and educational materials, helping to promote the value of veterinary technology.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Veterinary Technology program, or similar.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Passion for the veterinary profession and a willingness to learn about its broader aspects.

Employment Details:

  • Duration: June 2 – August 22, 2025.
  • Hours: 35 hours per week.
  • Location: Office location in Edmonton, some hybrid work may be approved.
  • Compensation: $19.00/hr
