At Parkwest Pet Clinic, Our RVTs are considered the heart of the clinic. Your role in the animal health care experience is crucial. Your professionalism, knowledge, skills and judgement will be key in maintaining the highest standards of care for both pet and client.

Training and development are available to enhance your skills and advance your career in veterinary medicine. We are a two-DVM small animal practice helping pets in the west Edmonton area!

Our clinic is equipped with brand new dental x-ray, dental cleaning unit and updated anesthesia machines. We may be small, but we are mighty! You will see plenty of cases and procedures. Anywhere from routine vaccines, preventative care appointments and spay and neuter surgery, all the way to orthopedics, soft tissue surgery, exploratory surgery and dental surgery!

Parkwest Pet Clinic offers a light-hearted working environment, and we understand how important work-life balance is. We do not work weekends, late shifts or statutory holidays!

About the Role

Our candidate must have:

·         Animal Health Technologist / Veterinary Technologist / Technology Diploma

·         3+ years’ experience as an RVT is preferred, but new grads welcome to apply!

·         Passed the VTNE and Good standing with their provincial regulatory association

·         Clinical experience is an asset

We are seeking candidates who possess the following qualities:

·         Enthusiastic about animal health and contributing to the development of a positive and collaborative culture.

·         Highly efficient and good team player, but also able to work independently

·         Excellent communication skills and emotional intelligence.

·         You value input from the team, share information openly

·         Strong professionalism, attention to detail and good conflict management skills.

·         Proficient and comfortable with catheter placement, blood/urine collection and anesthesia etc.

·         Great at developing lasting relationships with our clients and pets using knowledgeable and empathetic communication
