Moore Equine Veterinary Centre, located in Calgary, AB, is the largest equine practice in Canada and one of the main referral centers in Western Canada. We offer a complete range of veterinary care from dedicated general practice to specialized referral services. We provide high-quality lameness examinations, surgery, internal medicine, diagnostic imaging, pre-purchase examinations, equine dentistry, reproduction, and alternative therapies. Additionally, we offer a full spectrum of surgical services and advanced imaging capabilities with a nuclear scintigraphy unit and a Hallmarq Standing MRI.
Moore Equine continues its mission to provide quality care to our clients and their horses while offering our veterinary team an innovative and collaborative working environment. We are seeking a Registered Veterinary Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide professional and detailed support to our hospitalized patients. The candidate will work well under time constraints and pressure, maintaining a positive attitude and pivoting quickly as circumstances and schedules change. Further advanced training in anesthesia and surgery assisting will be provided based on experience.
Qualifications
Must have equine handling experience, strong client service experience, strong organizational and follow-up skills, attention to detail, and strong time management skills.
Education/Experience
Registered Veterinary Technologist is a requirement. In addition, a minimum of one year of related experience is recommended but not required.
Schedule
The schedule includes a five-day work week, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional work on weekends if needed.
