Registered Veterinary Technologist

The Chemainus Animal Hospital is looking for a full-time or part-time Registered Veterinary Technologist.

Located in Chemainus, BC which is 30 min south of Nanaimo and 1 hour north of Victoria, we are a privately owned, full service, 2-3 DVM equivalent hospital. Business hours are Monday to Friday (no evenings or weekends). Currently, we have 2 full-time RVTs on staff and schedule locum RVTs when needed.

We usually schedule a 4-day work week with a 3-day weekend and wages start at $28-30+ hourly. Wages are negotiable with more experience. There are many opportunities for RVT’s to learn and grow here with excellent mentorship and staff. We have a lovely ocean view from our surgery suite and offer modern/updated laboratory, x-ray and monitoring equipment, we also practice low-stress handling and book 30-minute appointments. Short-term living accommodations are negotiable.

New graduates and students are always welcome! We have hosted many second and first-year students in the last 12 months from BC, Alberta and Ontario, references available.
