The times that we are currently facing are unprecedented for all of us. The ABVTA recognizes that the delivery of veterinary medical services is essential to Albertans and in protecting the health and welfare of pets and livestock.
That being said, the ABVTA also encourages everyone to do their part and participate in ‘social distancing’ in an effort to ‘flatten the curve’.
For the past 5 years, the ABVTA has operated primarily as a remote office. We also work very closely with the ABVMA office. The ABVTA has all of the tools to continue to work remotely and can continue to be contacted via email.
The ABVTA will continue to support it’s members during this time.
If you are feeling increased anxiety or stress during these times, Alberta’s RVTs are encouraged to reach out through the member’s wellness program. Follow this link for more information on the program. *you must be signed into your ABVMA member portal to access
We understand these are challenging times and appreciate the commitment of all veterinary staff to remain on the front-lines to ensure the health of our pets and livestock. Please ensure that you are following the precautions laid out by the Government of Alberta to protect yourself and others from COVID-19.
