July 6, 2020 – In preparation for the Annual General Meeting (AGM), the ABVTA Board of Directors wishes to invite all members to consider standing for election to the Board of Directors or to either of our two standing committees, CE or Communications (PR).
As per the Association’s bylaws, the ABVTA Board consists of a minimum of seven members, with a maximum of 10 members, elected annually at the AGM. Within the Board, the Executive (President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer) is made up of Board members and is elected by the Board at its first meeting following the AGM.
The term of office for all Directors will be for a term of two years, commencing at the adjournment of the AGM and expiring at the ending December 31 at the completion of the two year service term.
The CE or Communication (PR) Committees include a Chairperson, Vice-Chair and members at large, willing to serve as local representatives to coordinate CE and Communication (PR) activities in their areas of interest or locality.
Meetings for the Board of Directors are held both in-person as well as via web-conference throughout the year. Meetings for the Committees are held by web-conference with one in-person meeting scheduled per year.
