Trupanion is seeking an experienced, pet passionate person to be a Territory Partner Associate in Edmonton!
This is a full-time field sales position, which will require you to work within the veterinary hospital setting, developing relationships with clinics to understand the value of educating clients on the importance of having medical insurance for their dogs and cats and why Trupanion is the market leader.

We are looking for a driven, reliable, extremely organized, pet-passionate individual with a minimum of 3 years experience in a veterinary hospital environment to help build, maintain and strengthen relationships with veterinary practices in Edmonton and Northern Alberta! This position would require the individual to visit veterinary practices, build relationships and educate hospital staff about the advantages of having insured clients and how to incorporate this into the hospital workflow.
In this role, you will earn a monthly guaranteed minimum with additional income generated from commissions based on productivity. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and driven individual who wants to join one of the top pet insurance sales teams in North America!
The candidate will be required to successfully obtain a Property and Casualty license in the province of Alberta. The licensing process involves a provincial background check. We are looking for someone that lives in the Edmonton area and is willing to travel to Grande Prairie, Fort McMurray and surrounding areas.
The position entails being on the road visiting hospitals most days but also includes some administrative work from home.
Qualifications
• Thorough understanding of the veterinary profession
• Must have a personality to build relationships with our partnering veterinary practices throughout the market
• Be confident, passionate, and resilient, always returning to our core mission to help pet owners budget for the unexpected
• Must be able to establish and maintain good relations by providing courteous, efficient, and professional service and must be a great problem solver
• Must be self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be an outstanding communicator, posing excellent listening skills, and be able to maintain a professional appearance
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (primarily Outlook, Excel, and Word) is a must
• Must possess a valid and clean driver’s license, a reliable car, and a cell phone.
Additional requirements
• 1-week introductory remote training (Zoom video & highly interactive) is mandatory
• Ongoing mentoring, training, and support will be made available
• Occasional weekend availability to work veterinary conferences is required
